I. CRIMINAL DEFENSE
My firm handles all types of criminal cases in all 5 boroughs of New York City, as well as Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester and Rockland counties. During my 19-plus years of practicing law, I have defended people charged with just about every type of criminal offense from petty stuff such as disorderly conduct and drinking in public to major crimes such as murder and armed robbery. I have a lot of trial experience and am not afraid to mix it up with the district attorneys' offices when necessary. II. PERSONAL INJURY
My firm also handles all types of personal injury cases (e.g., automobile accidents, slip/trip-and-falls, construction site accidents, dog bite incidents, etc.) throughout the New York metropolitan area. My goal on these kinds of cases is to try to settle with the insurance company without the need for court intervention so that you don't have to wait 2-4 years to get your money; however, when necessary, I will not hesitate to go to court and litigate the case to obtain the compensation that you deserve. The insurance companies know that I'm not afraid to go to trial, which translates into better settlement offers for my clients. My reputation and litigation skills recently helped me negotiate a 1 million dollar settlement on the eve of trial for a client who fell off a ladder at work and a 3.2 million dollar settlement for another client injured in a motor vehicle accident. My fee is one-third of the recovery after deducting the expenses that I paid out. That means that you get two-thirds of the net recovery (this is the industry standard) and you owe me $0 if I am unable to obtain monetary compensation.
